We believe everyone should be able to play sports.
FundPlay Foundation works to support youth sports organizations across the country that use sport as a vehicle for youth development.
Organizations in the sport-for-development field often balance various priorities, serving as education, sport, social services, and community development organizations.
These organizations are very effective in reaching youth, and their communities at large, in a holistic and sustainable way. But they are often heavily under-resourced and in need of support.
This is where FundPlay Foundation steps in.
Our support falls into three core pillars:
Technology
Technology helps community sports organizations better organize, saving them time, money, and mental effort, enabling them to spend more time focused on their impactful programs. We provide a 100% subsidized license to the LeagueApps youth sports management platform, allowing organizers to collect data to apply for grant funding.
community
The people who run our grantee organizations are superheroes in their communities. They have taken on a leadership role in ensuring better outcomes for kids in their communities. But they need help and support. Through our FundPlay Summits and Forums we connect these leaders with one another to share best practices and insights that help them better run their organizations and the kids they serve. We also launched the first-ever youth sports nonprofit accelerator program in 2024 with a cohort of five amazing grantees.
resource generation
Our grantee organizations are underfunded and seeking repeatable funding from institutional funders (private foundations, corporations, and government funding) as well as individual donors. As the leader in youth sports advocacy, we unlock state and federal funding opportunities for them, and share institutional funding opportunities.
