Adaptive Sports Ohio

Founded in 2009 by CEO Lisa Followay, Adaptive Sports Ohio was inspired by her son Casey, who was born with Spina Bifida and wanted the same chance to play sports as his peers. The organization’s mission is to remove barriers so that individuals with physical disabilities have a chance to play, using adaptive equipment and minor modifications to make competitive and recreational sports accessible. Adaptive Sports Ohio serves hundreds of physically impaired youth and adults across the state of Ohio, with programming spanning interscholastic and community-based sports. The organization believes everyone deserves a chance to play, regardless of physical ability.
